Today a teacher told me that she had it with a student using their phone to text message in class. He was also a frequent user of the restroom, so she suspected something shady. So one day when he was playing with his phone in class, she took it from him and gave it to one of the assistant principals.
At this point, the principal decided to go through the text message history (walking a fine line with privacy rights, we know) and found lots of drug deals right there on the phone. I guess the kid kept good track of his deals…probably for tax purposes. Luckily for us, the kid was expelled, and lots of parents got calls regarding where their lunch money was going. Apparently one of the local “surnames of importance” was on his list as well.
No news from any lawyers. Hopefully the ACLU doesn’t find out.
